Hey guys! We’re Ben and Deb Pugh. We’ve been Foster Parents since 2009 and have fostered over 20 kids, from all different ages and ethnicities. We’re super passionate about providing love, care, and support to each child that comes into our home. We have 4 kids of our own.
We both graduated with our BA degrees from Utah State University. Ben graduated with his degree in Secondary Education, has worked at both public and specialized charter schools and is currently the principal at a Native American charter school. Deb graduated with her degree in Family, Consumer, and Human Development and worked at a Residential Treatment Center for troubled teens for 3 years before deciding to be a stay at home mom. We both love working with kids that seem to have no where else to turn because everyone else has given up on them.
When we aren’t busy taking care of all of the children in our lives, we like to watch football, play board games, and go on vacations. We’ve seen how rough it is to be a foster kid, and we’ve personally experienced just how rough it is to be foster parents. So, we are on a mission to make things better.
We understand that we’re not perfect, but we want to be the best parents that we can be. Not only to our foster kids, but our own kids as well. We understand that this is not just something that you can passively sit back and do; instead, we are determined to explore what works and what doesn’t, to seek out the best practices when it comes to parenting, and then, to share what we find with YOU!
We know that our efforts won’t make things perfect, but we’re convinced things will be consistently better.
